HLAVNÍ TÉMA Telemedicína v diabetologii | 153 / Vnitř Lék. 2022;68(3):144-152 / VNITŘNÍ LÉKAŘSTVÍ www.casopisvnitrnilekarstvi.cz rozšířit možnosti péče o pacienty s diabetem a jeho komplikacemi, vede k přesvědčivému zlepšení kompenzace diabetu a ke zlepšení selfmonitoringu pacientů s diabetem. Pozitivní účinek telemedicíny závisí na správném nastavení procesů přenosu a zpracování dat, ale také na edukaci všech zúčastněných. Telemedicína podporuje zapojení pacientů, ale i dalších zdravotníků do managementu diabetu, zlepšuje koordinaci péče a zefektivňuje komunikaci mezi pacienty a zdravotníky.
