Ačkoliv je prevalence stejně jako u jiných forem monogenních hypertenzí nízká, mělo by se na toto onemocnění v rámci diferenciální diagnostiky (sekundární ) hypertenze myslet. Podezření by měl vzbudit pacient se současnou hypokalemií, metabolickou alkalózou a pozitivní rodinnou anamnézou arteriální hypertenze. Na rozdíl od primárního aldosteronismu nacházíme v krvi zpravidla nízké hladiny aldosteronu. Lékem volby je blokátor epiteliálního sodíkového kanálu amilorid. LITERATURA 1.
